What are your thoughts about the whole Hwayoung thing?
Well first off these are just my opinions based off what has been floating around allkpop and other places. I don’t think it’s fair for Hwayoung to be kicked out of the group completely because of bullying or her attitude. It’s very confusing actually. Why add two more members if the other members aren’t going to be happy with it? If there were a clear problem with Jiyeon or the other members themselves regarding the addition of a new member, wouldn’t you think they would all say something with the addition of TWO new members? Assuming that the two new members are treated fairly, T-ara shouldn’t have a problem with new members. So what makes Hwayoung different? It may be because of her attitude that the other members don’t like her, and that in turn could just result in them not wanting to deal with her. Since they are all T-ara, they are always together, probably not making anything better. It’s wrong that everyone did not try to fix it sooner, and it’s wrong that the staff should be thinking of themselves before T-ara, knowing that they are their responsibility. All in all, this all could have been handled better on T-ara’s, and CCM’s end.
So I’ve been seeing a big increase in K-pop fans in the past couple years, and learned a few things: Most of them became fans through Big Bang (including their individual promotions), SNSD, or Jay Park. ((USUALLY)) Others just kind of get into it because it’s pretty much all over Tumblr anyway.
So I sat down one night and thought; how did I stumble upon K-Pop? If I can remember clearly I’ve always had a hard time with what to listen to in music. My family knew that some of the songs years ago weren’t always giving the right message, and always monitored what I listened to. I got tired of constantly being monitored on what I listened to, and realized that they don’t understand Japanese music! The music that I knew to have always played at the end of my favorite Animes. So I ended up listening to a lot of Japanese artists from there and eventually stumbled upon BoA’s name (since it was one of the few that were written in English). It was her song ‘Every Heart’ that played on InuYasha.. ^^;; I then started looking up more of her songs and eventually found other artists such as a few S.E.S songs, Super Junior (when they debuted), and from there somehow kept up with Korean Music… almost 8 years ago. Wow, it’s really been a long time…hah. ^^;
I do admit I miss the older times of kpop, but there is a lot of good that comes with more people getting into it! The idols that we love are always being supported from all over the world and we are able to show them that they are able to have global concerts and still have as many (if not more) fans supporting them everywhere!
